Deion Sanders Emerges as Potential Candidate for Major SEC Job
['Cole Sullivan']
Newsweek
Deion Sanders is in his third season as head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, marking his first year without his sons Shedeur and Shilo on the roster.
The Buffaloes currently sit at 2-3, but Sanders has become one of the most prominent names in college athletics since he began coaching at Jackson State in September 2020.
With coaching openings already emerging across the college football landscape, his name has surfaced in connection with a major SEC job.
The current contract Sanders has with the Buffaloes is worth $54 million and runs through 2029.
The two most notable programs to have already fired their head coaches midway through the season are Arkansas and Virginia Tech.
