East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has reported ongoing challenges in its latest annual performance update. The report, covering July 2024 to August 2025, highlights that absence levels remain well above target. Council employees within the partnership lost an average of 1.53 workdays per person in July 2025, more than double the target of 0.67 days. NHS Ayrshire and Arran staff in the partnership recorded an absence rate of 5.76 per cent, against a four percent target. Child protection decision-making within standard timescales averaged just 40 per cent against a 90 per cent target, while hospital delayed discharge bed days and re-admission rates for older people remained high.
