Launched series of dialogues on Sept 28, beginning with civil society members, intellectualsThe Election Commission (EC) will hold talks with journalists on October 6 as part of its ongoing dialogue series ahead of the upcoming 13th national election next year. Md Ashadul Haque, assistant director of EC's public relations wing, told reporters yesterday that the commission will hold a meeting with representatives of electronic media at 10:30am, followed by print and online journalists at 2:30pm the same day. He said invitation letters have already been prepared and will be sent out soon. The EC launched its series of dialogues on September 28, beginning with civil society members, intellectuals, and academics. It is scheduled to meet women representatives on October 7, and will later hold discussions with freedom fighters and political parties, according to EC officials.
