COLUMBUS, Ohio – The number of job openings decreased throughout the state and regionally between July and August, according to OhioMeansJobs.
Statewide, the number of job openings over the period reached 158,231, a decrease of 3,861 from a month ago.
The latest job openings represent a decrease of 28,545 from the same period a year ago.
Regionally, most jobs are middle income, 35.8%, and upper middle income, 33%; followed by six-figure jobs, 11%; high-income jobs, 10.2%; and entry-level jobs, 10%.
Statewide, most jobs are upper middle income, 29.7%, and middle income, 26.1%; followed by six-figure jobs, 23.5%; high-income jobs, 14.6%; and entry-level jobs, 6.1%.
