Two men are facing drug-related charges following a call for a wellbeing check in Guelph that lead to the seizure of thousands of dollars worth of cocaine. It was on Monday morning just after 2 when Guelph Police received that call, indicating that two men were passed out in a parked vehicle near a College Avenue West address. That investigation lead to a search of the involved vehicle, with Guelph Police discovering a brick of cocaine, as well as two individually wrapped baggies of the substance, two scales, more empty baggies and cash. As a result of that investigation, an 18-year-old from Kitchener and 22-year-old Guelph man have both been charged with possessing a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. The Guelph man also faces a charge of breaching a release order.
