Christopher Lamont Irby entered eternal rest on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025 at Bon Secour Regional Memorial Hospital in Richmond. He was born July 22, 1976 to Cecelia Royster Irby and the late Percy Carl Irby Jr. Chris was educated in the public schools of Mecklenburg County and graduated from Bluestone Senior High School in 1994. Confessing his faith in Christ at an early age, he was baptized and joined St. Luke Baptist Church in Skipwith. Being the boy that he was, his mother often took him by the hand and led him into church until Chris got the message. A funeral was held on Monday, Sept. 29, at 1 p.m. at the St. Luke Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
