Karen D. Garnett age 80, of Boydton passed away peacefully at her home early Friday, Sept. 26, 2025. She was the widow of Lenwood Garnett and was also preceded in death by her mother, Illeen Lytle; sister, Patricia Downey and her stepson, Charles Garnett. Karen retired from VCU/CMH in South Hill in 2016, where she was a dedicated and compassionate professional. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Darrel Garnett; stepdaughter, Brenda Ford (Wesley) and stepdaughter-in-law, Karen Garnett. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Mason, Jackson, and Ethan Garnett; Victoria Novak (Nick) and Christina Guy (Kevin), as well as great grandchildren, Tatum and Adaline Novak, and Miles Guy.
