Melvin Clarence Fallwell, 88, of N. Chesterfield, passed away Friday, Sept. 26, 2025. He was born Feb. 8, 1937, in Chase City, to the late Winston Fallwell and Jessie Fallwell Jones. Melvin graduated from Chase City High School in 1954, before proudly serving his country in both the United States Navy and Air Force. Melvin is survived by his wife of 14 years, Peggy Fallwell, stepdaughters Denise Clinton, and Janet Britt; daughters, Patricia Greer and Lori Ward; grandchildren, Erin Croom (Jonathan), Mason Ward (Erika), Jackson Ward (Sarah), and Maggie Ward; and great-grandchildren; Sage Croom, Collins Ward, and Gabriel Ward. Melvin was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Maggie Fallwell, by his wife of eight years, Edith Fallwell, and his sister Helen Fallwell.
