MITCHELL — Londyn Schroeder, a junior at Mitchell High School, still remembers her first official day of high school. Having moved on from Mitchell Middle School, she entered the front doors of the old high school building for her freshman year a little apprehensive. The other was that the high school building, built in 1962, was showing its age. Ben Ziebarth, a 2021 graduate of Mitchell High School, is in his first year of teaching at the school. He spent his high school days in the old high school building before moving on to Indiana Wesleyan University to play football and study social studies education.
