AEWA recently returned star has revealed that they didn’t expect their absence from AEW to be as long as it would eventually become. Previously seen in an AEW ring at Full Gear in November 2024, Jack Perry would be absent from television throughout much of 2025. I thought I was gonna be off a month or two and then be back. In the interview, Perry would confirm that plans for a feud with Kenny Omega were talked about during 2025, although they were scrapped. Perry would also note that his AEW hiatus was the longest he has been away from wrestling since he was 16 or 17 years of age.
