SOUTH AFRICA EMBRACES THE GLOBAL ARTIFICIAL-INTELLIGENCE ERA
['Martin Vilakazi']
VOW88.1
As South Africa embraces the global artificial-intelligence era, the country faces a skills gap: too few learners choose mathematics and science in high school, often preferring mathematical literacy, which limits access to STEM careers.
At Sci-Enza, Busi’s role includes developing and facilitating interactive workshops and science shows, with the aspiration of creating exhibits in the near future.
Her ambition is to establish satellite science-exhibition hubs across South Africa so that curiosity sparked in a single session can grow into a lasting opportunity.
Currently training as a career-guidance practitioner, she aims to broaden learners’ horizons beyond traditional medical roles—toward technology, research, engineering and AI.
Through her work, Busi is lighting a path for the next generation of innovators who will shape South Africa’s future.
