A variety of activities are planned Oct. 16-18 for Homecoming and Family Weekend, including Festival on the Oval, Friday Night Lights, the Homecoming 5K and, of course, game day. The festivities kick off with the Distinguished Alumni Awards on Thursday, Oct. 16, followed by the 50 Year Club Luncheon on Friday, Oct. 17. Festival on the OvalThe Festival on the Oval will be held that Friday from 3-6 p.m. Homecoming 5KOn Saturday, the Homecoming 5K Race begins at 8 a.m. at the Oval, with a “Kids Fun Run” at 9 a.m. This is the 45th annual Homecoming 5K, and over those years, thousands of participants have traversed 225 kilometers, or 136.7 miles.
