Investing.com -- U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said Tuesday that the current average tariff of 55% on Chinese imports represents a "good status quo," while indicating the Trump administration is seeking areas where bilateral trade could expand more freely.
I’ve got 55% tariffs on it.
That’s the deal.’ So that is a good status quo," Greer stated.
The trade representative emphasized that the U.S. will continue trading with China but needs to find arrangements that both nations are comfortable with.
