SINJAR, Northwest Iraq,– A new mass grave containing Yazidi victims of Islamic State militants has been found in the Sinjar (Shingal) district in northwest Iraq, a Yazidi representative said on Friday. Human remains were exposed, and a specialized team later confirmed the site as a mass grave. Among the remains was the body of a Yazidi man, identified as Saydo Abbas Chuko from Siba Sheikh Khider, a village north of Mount Sinjar. Qasim, a Yazidi official, said the grave was located a day earlier but the number of bodies buried has not yet been determined. Figures from local and federal authorities show at least 93 mass graves of Yazidis have been identified in Sinjar.
