BASSETERRE: In a heartwarming display of family unity and discipline, Myrtle Daniel, known affectionately as Unruly Sas, and her 15-year-old twin sons, Addijah and Antwan Daniel, stole the spotlight at the 2025 Independence Drill Competition on September 26. Held on Bay Road as part of the nation’s 42nd Independence celebrations, the event showcased precision and pride among participants from the Police, Cadets, Prison, Fire & Rescue, and SCASPA. Daniel, a SCASPA member, clinched first place in Group 3, while Addijah, a Cadet Corps participant, won Group 4. This victory underscores the role of drill competitions in building resilience among youth. Amid rising youth challenges, such achievements inspire families to engage in structured activities, promoting unity and deterring negative influences.
