Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has issued a fitness update on his side ahead of their trip to face AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League group-stage on Wednesday evening. Speaking in a press conference ahead of Manchester City’s UEFA Champions League group-stage clash away at AS Monaco, Guardiola confirmed that Rodri has returned to full fitness and is ready for selection on Wednesday evening. On Rodri, Guardiola said: “Right now, my feeling, he is not able to play three games a week at a top, top, top level, top intensity, demanding of the opponents. “It’s so risky because next time it’s surgery, next time it’s four or five months,” Guardiola said on Cherki. “Hopefully after Brentford we will have many players back – (Rayan) Cherki will be back, (Rayan) Ait-Nouri will be back, (Abdukodir) Khusanov will be back, hopefully Omar (Marmoush) will be back,” the Manchester City boss added.
