Maryland State Sen. Cory McCray discussed his new book, “The Apprenticeship That Saved My Life,” detailing his journey from juvenile incarceration to becoming an electrician, author and senator. McCray spoke on the C4 and Bryan Nehman Show on Tuesday morning about how he spent his teen years in the juvenile justice system. He discussed growing up as a young man on Baltimore’s tough streets and needed to turn his life around. This happened when I was 14 and 15 and happened at 16 and this happened again when I was 18,” McCray said. She was the only who said give me every apprenticeship program in the state of Maryland.
