Doran won’t replace Lancers starter Brayden Wann, but he’s more of an athletic option that gives the Lancers different looks. Bishop Amat went 0-5 in the Mission League last season, and one of those losses was a close 38-35 loss to Chaminade. Muir is 4-1 and 2-0 in the Pacific League and adds to an already deep squad with five key additions. Senior kicker Matthew Zuniga from Pasadena, and sophomore defensive back Sergio Rodiguez also become eligible. They also add Jalen Gamble, a sophomore defensive back from Damien and senior Johnny Garcia, another key weapon in the secondary.
