Rivers NULGE Suspends Warning Strike After Fubara’s Intervention

Rivers State governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has successfully intervened in the labour crisis that recently paralysed activities at Emohua local government area of the State.
The crisis erupted after some workers were denied their August salaries while others had their appointments terminated, prompting the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) to declare an indefinite strike action.
AdvertisementFollowing the meeting, Comrade Paul announced the suspension of the strike, assuring members that their concerns would be addressed.
On behalf of the state administrative council of NULGE, I am calling on all branch chairmen and officers to end the strike,” Paul said.
