J.K. Rowling is apparently not interested in accepting the olive branch that Emma Watson extended her way. She and Rowling have been on shaky ground since around 2020, when Rowling began dedicating her public persona to spreading transphobic rhetoric and gender essentialism. Watson addressed her rift with Rowling on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, which featured Watson as a guest on September 24. On the podcast, Watson said that she can still have love for the author while not necessarily sharing her beliefs regarding the trans community. “I’m already missing @intel_lady’s Angela Rayner, but I’m here for ALL the spoofs,” wrote Rowling, sharing the video.
