Mikkelsen, a junior, anchored the defense with four saves en route to his fourth solo clean sheet of the year. His steady play at FAU Soccer Stadium has been unmatched so far, as he has yet to concede a goal at home this season. His goal, his fifth of the season, solidified the victory and boosted his team-leading tally to 13 points. With the Owls off to a 5–2 overall record and a perfect 2–0 start in conference play, head coach Kyle Russell’s squad now turns its attention to Missouri State (3–3–2, 1–2).
