The America 250 Heritage Tree Dedication will begin at the gazebo then move on to Uptown Park. She said the mayor and the Medina County commissioners will have the opportunity to do some ceremonial mulching of the tree. The Heritage Tree Program is made possible by presenting sponsor Cenovus Energy in partnership with Heritage Tree partners Dawes Arboretum, Cox Arboretum Metro Parks, Holden Forests & Gardens, Keep Oho Beautiful, the Ohio Department Natural Resources, Rowe Arboretum and Seacrest Arboretum. The Medina County commissioners selected Uptown Park in Medina Square for the location of the Medina County tree, as the city is the Medina County seat. Medina’s new tree will overlook the Medina County Courthouses and all the events happening in and around the park.
