The show also featured the late Linda Lavin in one of her final roles, portraying Lane’s mother. And filled Linda Lavin with so much joy at the end of her life. The series faced additional challenges when Linda Lavin died at age 87 on Dec. 29, 2024, from complications from lung cancer.
