Domestic cruises are becoming more popular. American Cruise Lines has announced the debut of three Great Lakes itineraries for the 2026 cruise season, meaning 100% domestic. The company’s Alexa Paolella says the United States is one of the most beautiful places in the world. “All cruises are wonderful, but sometimes remembering the treasures in your own backyard can be one of the most enjoyable experiences,” Paolella said. For example, a nine-day cruise around Lake Michigan would visit places like Milwaukee, Muskegon, Green Bay, and Escanaba.
