The data, released under a Freedom of Information request and compiled by Dorset Police’s Performance Analysis Department and Road Safety Team, highlights the numbers of collisions and their causes in the area of Bennett Road, St Leonard's Road, and Capstone Road in Bournemouth. Residents have previously expressed their concerns about St Leonard's Road junction over car crashes in the area, particularly at busy times. Bennett Road saw the highest number of injury collisions (eight), all of which were classified as slight. Two injury crashes occurred at the crossroads between St Leonards Road and Capstone Road, one of which was serious, and another recorded earlier this year. Of the 10 total injury collisions, two vehicles reportedly left the carriageway (one offside, one nearside) and hit a wall or fence.
