'This isn't a war on the car - it's a ceasefire with the planet'
['Letters To The Editor']
Bournemouth Echo | News
Who wouldn't prefer strolling through a bustling square of shops, cafes and markets, rather than yet another soulless shed marooned in a retail park by the bypass.
Why subsidise the daily gridlock when we could instead fund better buses, cycle lanes, and maybe even trains that arrive on time?
Of course some will grumble that this is a war on the car.
But in truth, it's a ceasefire with the planet.
The car may have had its century - surely the next one belongs to people.
