The Wendy’s Co. is launching chicken tenders, called Tendys, to its systemwide core menu, adding to the nuggets that have been a popular item, the company said Tuesday. The Dublin, Ohio-based quick-service brand is also adding six dipping sauces. "Chicken innovation is in our DNA at Wendy's, and we've tapped into our years of chicken experience to craft our new Wendy's Tendys," Lindsay Radkoski, Wendy’s U.S. chief marketing officer, said in a statement. Wendy's tenders are all-white meat chicken with a crisp breading. The chicken tenders are available in three- or four-piece options and can be ordered as part of a combo meal or a la carte.
