Media personality Janet Mbugua picked up from where she left off in 2023 and continued with her impactful work in women empowerment and global leadership in 2024. Whether it was by moderating panel sessions, emceeiing events, launching initiatives or getting involved in community outreach programs, Janet voiced the agenda of gender equality without fail. She hosted Goalkeepers2024, a high-profile global event under the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation that seeks to fight poverty, disease and inequity around the world. Over the African continent, Janet also participated in initiatives that aimed to promote gender equality. She joined hands with Pan-African advocates, led by Anita Zaidi, President of the Gender Division at the Gates Foundation to discuss solutions to counter anti-gender rhetoric.
