WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Rapids man accused of firing a gun at police following a domestic disturbance one year ago has pleaded no contest to one count of attempted homicide.
In exchange, one count of attempted homicide was dismissed outright.
Six additional counts were dismissed but read into the record, including three counts of attempted homicide and one count each of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and fleeing an officer.
They caught up with him in Portage County, but he fled that scene and returned to Wisconsin Rapids.
During that chase, he fired at officers before they disabled his vehicle in Wisconsin Rapids.
