Ex-Army Chief Azubuike Ihejirika Joins APC(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally welcomed former Chief of Army Staff, Lt.- Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika. On Friday, Ihejirika met with Yobe Governor, Mai Mala Buni, Chairman APC Caretaker and Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC). Ihejirika was presented to Buni by Jigawa governor and Chairman APC Strategy and Contact Committee, Abubakar Badaru and Farouk Aliyu. Gen. Ihejirika was appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan’s PDP administration as first Nigeria’s Chief of Army from Southeast. On January 27, 2016, the anti-corruption Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) sealed off an estate along Jabi Airport road junction in Abuja, allegedly belonging to Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika.
