Oyewale OyelolaAs the people of Osun state would from 8am on Saturday visit their various polling stations for accreditation ahead voting in the afternoon, the presence of security officers across the state and allegations by participating political parties is causing tension among the electorates.
Our correspondent gathered additional 3000 security personnel were deployed to Ile-Ife the home of PDP candidate, Senator Iyiola Omisore.
Findings revealed that some parties are planning to cause violence to intimidate close to 1million voters who have received their permanent voter’s card.
In a chat with newsmen, Osun state Resident Electoral Commission (REC), Segun Agbaje stated that INEC is ready to conduct free, fair and credible polls.
He assured all political parties that no body would rig the election or announce fake result, noting that the votes will be counted at polling unit before taking the result to collation centers.
