A water tank improvement project on Bays Mountain in Kingsport will result in a months-long temporary water outage at Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium starting this week. Portable toilets and handwashing stations will be placed throughout the park for guests to use as work is completed. Bays Mountain Park will have no operating water fountains or restrooms during this time. Guests are encouraged to bring their own drinking water. Vending machines with water and other drinks will still be accessible in the park’s Nature Center.
