Recognise Me As APGA Governorship Candidate- Ekwunife Tells CourtFemi Kehinde, LagosMrs. Uche Ekwunife, the member representing Anaocha Dunukofia Njikoka Federal Constituency has asked Federal High Court in Awka to recognize her as the authentic All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate in the last November 16 governorship election in Anambra State. Ekwunife is seeking among other reliefs, that INEC should be compelled to recognise her as the candidate of the party for the November 16 governorship election in Anambra State, based on Obiano’s double registration. She alleged that Willie Obiano was registered in Lagos and Anambra respectively, which amounts the double registration as stipulated by the Electoral Act. The suit number HC/Awk/CS/281/2013 was instituted at the Federal High Court in Awka. Ekwunife was the runner-up to Willie Obiano during the gubernatorial primaries of APGA, and had complained over the conduct of its governorship primaries which she alleged was flawed with large-scale rigging and manipulation, as the lists of delegates for the primaries were changed.
