Umahi Freezes EBSU Accounts, Sacks Bursar, Lecturers Over Leadership RowBy Ignatius OkparaEBONYI, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Ebonyi State Governor David Nweze Umahi, has frozen all the bank accounts of the State owned University (EBSU), sacked the institution’s Bursar, Mr. Chris Nguta, and the institution’s chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU Chairman, Professor Ndubuisi Idenyi. The development followed the present impasse between the state government and current leadership of EBSU ASUU. He however declared that the constitution of the present ASUU leadership in the university as illegal, and out of order since their tenure has elapsed. “The present ASUU leadership in place has expired, the ASUU in place is illegal and I will not discuss with them. Meanwhile, the development has paralyzed all academic activities in the university, as most students have travelled out of the state
