Plateau Appoints New Police Commissioner Amid State Assembly Crisis(AFRICAN EXAMINER0 – The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Baba, has ordered the immediate posting of Bartholomew Onyeka to the Plateau State Police Command as the new Commissioner of Police. This is happening five days after the Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Abok Ayuba, was impeached and replaced by Yakubu Sanda allegedly by six lawmakers. This has thrown the state in disarray with youths protesting the development amid increasing tension in the state over killings by suspected herdsmen.
