OTTAWA — Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada welcomes U.S. President Donald Trump’s “historic new Middle East peace plan,” which Washington has asked Ottawa to sell to other nations. Trump’s plan to put the Gaza Strip and its 2.1 million Palestinians under an international security force was endorsed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “Secretary Rubio specifically asked me to help lead in bringing more and more countries on side,” she told The Canadian Press.
