['Robin Miller']
The Vacaville Reporter
Nurses at 22 Kaiser Permanente facilities across California — including in Vacaville and Vallejo — held informational pickets on Tuesday in a unified effort to raise awareness about staffing cuts and their concerns over patient care.
Nurses participating in the pickets are represented by the California Nurses Association/National Nurses United, which advocates on behalf of nearly 25,000 Kaiser-employed nurses statewide.
“It can’t wipe away tears when you get devastating news like ‘you’ve got cancer.’ Nurses are here to care for patients,.” she said.
“You simply cannot replace nurses with technology like artificial intelligence,” she stated in a press release.
“Kaiser Permanente is one of the largest unionized workforces in the United States.
