Belfast City Airport is throwing its hat into the airport expansion ring. It is one of two airports serving the city, the other being Belfast International Airport some 15 miles from the city centre. Belfast City, in contrast, is located on reclaimed land in the industrialised Belfast Harbour, within walking distance of the shipyard that built the Titanic and just across the water from the city centre. You can download the draft scheme on the Belfast City website here. For the next eight weeks Belfast City is inviting feedback on this draft masterplan, which it will take into consideration before finalising it early next year.
