Two months ago we reported that Curve Card, a big favourite of HfP pre pandemic and still used heavily by some, was in talks to sell itself to Lloyds Banking Group. According to Sky News, IDC Ventures, its biggest external shareholder, has called an Extraordinary General Meeting for early October. It reportedly wants the removal of Shachar Bialick, the founder and CEO of Curve, and Lord Fink, the chairman. Interestingly, Sky News says that IDC is concerned about ‘the proposed distribution of the sale proceeds’ which implies that it doesn’t have an issue with the £120 million sale price itself. The board is refusing to provide us with basic information about the transaction, or how it can lawfully be implemented without our support.
