The grandparents of Thalia-Beau Wright have found themselves frantically fundraising following their granddaughter's death, as the transplant waiting list hit an unprecedented peak. This year, NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) disclosed that the transplant waiting list had climbed to its highest point on record, with 8,000 individuals actively awaiting a life-saving transplant – encompassing over 900 across the North East and Yorkshire. Reflecting on Thalia, Christine said: "Thalia was the most beautiful little soul, sassy, funny and feisty. Christine said: "There are so many beautiful little lives like Thalia's, lives of all ages, that can be saved. But with thousands still waiting, NHSBT is urging people to take just two minutes today to confirm their decision to be an organ donor.
