The Covington County United Fund (CCUF) has officially begun its 2025-2026 campaign which supports essential community services that improve the quality of life in Covington County. “The United Fund makes a real difference in Covington County, and every contribution helps strengthen this community.”A kickoff breakfast was held Friday, September 5, at LBW’s Andalusia campus. This year’s campaign includes 23 agencies:• Alabama 4-H Foundation• Andalusia Department of Leisure Services• Andalusia Adult Activity Center• Andalusia Community Christmas• Andalusia Police Chaplaincy Fund• Bethesda House• Covington County Foster Parents Association• Covington County Imagination Library• Covington County Child Advocacy• Covington County Recreation Board• Crossover Ministries• Florala Recreation Board• Florala Senior Center• Full Tummy Project• Lower Alabama Arts Coalition• Meredith’s Miracles• Opp Benevolence• Opp Park & Recreation• Opp Meals on Wheels• Public Libraries (Andalusia, Opp, Florala)• South Central Alabama Mental Health• Save-A-Life of Covington County• St. Mary’s Episcopal Rice BeansThe CCUF is a local charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of Covington County residents through financial assistance and community service. “The impact of the United Fund reaches far beyond dollars,” Thorn added.
