At its annual membership meeting, the Babbitt Golf Association awarded Joan Youngman a life membership to recognize her contributions to the golf course. Joan has served on the board of directors for 18 years, and has been the treasurer since 2011. She is also very active in the couples golf and writes newspaper articles to further interest in couples golf. Joan is the first woman to be honored with a life membership, and the tenth BGA member to be so recognized. Previous life members include: Dr. Donald Haase, Ed Furness, Ernie Pinola, Bucky Backman, Merle Rauvola, Sulo Nuorala, Walt Vojacek, Merle Vandervest and Jim Lassi.
