The collection for the charity will mainly take place at supermarkets, ensuring volunteers are either inside or under cover. There will also be a pop-up Poppy Shop in Clevedon. The Poppy Appeal will run from Saturday, October 25 to Tuesday, November 11, and anyone who can spare a few hours during this period is encouraged to get involved. Prospective volunteers are invited to attend a meeting at St Andrews Hall, on Old Church Road in Clevedon, on Thursday, October 2, at 7pm.
