St Peter's Hospice's Community Hub aims to provide support to more people earlier in their end-of-life journey. The first hub will be located at the Beehive Community Centre in Whitehall, with additional locations planned across Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire. Chris Benson, director of patient care at St Peter’s Hospice, said: "The hub will provide a safe space for people to connect with others facing similar experiences, helping them to feel cared for and understood. "Currently, we only reach about a third of those needing end-of-life care, and we want to do more. Volunteers are encouraged to contribute to this important initiative, working alongside the hospice team to create welcoming community spaces and support patients and carers.
