The warning was issued after a man was captured on CCTV letting a 200-tonne boat loose in a harbour.

(Image: Emma Trimble / SWNS)The Lady Kate, a 200-tonne research vessel, is part of The Extraction Action Alliance (TEAA), a programme spanning over 157 countries that is aiming to reduce the amount of plastic entering the seas.
TEAA's head of oceans, Paul Manning, was on board the ship at the time and was awoken when the boat drifted into the harbour.
"What happened caused minimal problems, but the boat is 200 tons, it could have caused millions of pounds of damage.
