['Jack Roberts']
North Somerset Times | News
Gordano School has received a grant from the Rosemary Bugden Charitable Trust, ensuring it can continue to run its choir, string, brass, and woodwind groups.
The money will also allow the school to provide one-to-one peripatetic lessons for all Pupil Premium students studying GCSE music.
Gordano School has a notable music scene, hosting seasonal concerts, large-scale productions, and the annual Creative Arts Festival.
John Sharpe, trustee of the society, said: "The Rosemary Bugden Charitable Trust was founded in 1987 by the philanthropist Rosemary Bugden with the primary purpose of promoting the growth of classical music education.
"The Trustees are pleased to have been able to assist with musical education at Gordano School."
