A Florida woman is accused of asking a police officer what bond she would be placed under for hitting another woman — and then immediately doing so, authorities say.
The suspect, Navarrete, had apparently come to the location "to retrieve stolen shoes."
It is unclear if the officer responded before the suspect "proceeded to walk over to the victim and struck the victim in the face," the arrest report states, noting that the victim was a 72-year-old "elderly woman."
