AceShowbiz - Comedian Amber Ruffin was happy she did not have to take the stage at this year's White House Correspondents' Dinner. "I was really, really sad for like two hours, but then I had a brunch and then I felt great," she said with a laugh. Reflecting on her material prepared for the event, Ruffin admitted her jokes might have indeed caused discomfort. A White House deputy chief of staff had raised concerns about Ruffin's critical remarks regarding former President Donald Trump. This led the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) to withdraw her from the event in an effort to "ensure the focus is not on the politics of division."
