Warwickshire receives nearly £2.5million to get transport projects moving
[]
The Coventry Observer
TRANSPORT in Warwickshire has received a near-£2.5million boost.
The government has given Warwickshire County Council (WCC) £2,435,000 to invest in transport schemes across the county.
It is part of a national £2.3billion investment programme to support local transport connections and improve journeys to work, shops, and essential services across towns and rural areas.
Mr Slinger said: “Daily, I hear from constituents suggesting ways to improve local transport and, in particular, road safety for all users.
“By putting resources directly into the hands of local leaders, we’re ensuring every part of the country benefits from better transport links that support economic growth and provide opportunity.”
