COVENTRY Sphinx returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory away at Lichfield City. Sphinx responded to successive defeats in the FA Cup and FA Trophy respectively by remaining unbeaten in the league. Goals from Harvey Smith and Kyle Carey earned Sphinx the points at the Trade Tyre Community Stadium. The result means Coventry sit fourth in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, one point behind joint leaders Belper Town. Coventry travel to Wellingborough Town on Tuesday, September 16 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Dog and Duck Ground.
